The Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants, in coordination with our sectoral organizations, the Association of CPAs in Commerce and Industry, the Association of CPAs in Education, the Government Association of CPAs, and the Association of CPAs in Public Practice celebrates the Accountancy Week nationawide, in every PICPA region and chapter this third week of July, to enhance awareness on te relevance and significance of the Accountancy Profession in our community. I would like also to mention very especially our accountants and auditors of the Cooperative Organizations nationwide who are likewise joining us on this very special occasion.
This year's Accountancy Week carries the PICPA theme, "Live it Up ... The Spirit of PICPA." The theme comes appropriately as the Institute is celebrating its 80th year. Through this theme, we will be reminded of what PICPA has done in strengthening the profession as well as the values that PICPA has stood by for us over the years.
