    I would like to cordially invite you all to this year’s Mindanao Geographical Area Office and Northern  Mindanao Region Council Conference on May 19-20, 2023 at Almont Inland Resort.
    Our chapter will host this 2-event and gathering of CPAs from Northern Mindanao, PICPA National Board, PICPA Comelec and other esteemed guest speakers from BIR, SEC, COA, and BOA talking about updates from their respective government agencies. I am hoping for your usual support and cooperation.

  • International Conference

    The Institute regularly sponsors and participates in international conferences elevating the invaluable contributions of Filipino accountants in the practice of profession worldwide.

    2nd ASEAN Conference

    The Professional Regulatory Board of Accountancy (PRBOA) and Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), in partnership with the ASEAN CPA, hosted the 2nd ASEAN CPA Conference last July 30-31, 2021.  With the theme, “The Forging Alliances. Strengthening links.”, this year’s conference envisions a stronger alliance between ASEAN CPAs aiming for transformative results that will better facilitate mobility of accounting professionals across ASEAN; enhance the current environment for availability of accountancy services in ASEAN; and exchange information in order to promote adoption of best practices on standards and qualifications.

  • About the Appreciation and Graduation Day

    The Professional Regulatory Board of Accountancy (PRBOA), Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), and PICPA National Professional Development Committee, in partnership with PICPA Metro Manila Geographical Area Office, PICPA Metro Manila Region, PICPA Western Metro Manila Chapter (WMMC), and sectoral organizations National Association of CPAs in Education (nACPAE), Association of CPAs in Commerce and Industry (ACPACI), Government Association of CPAs (GACPA), and Association of CPAs in Public Practice (ACPAPP) conducted the four-day summit on Philippine Qualifications Framework (PQF) last August and September 2021 via Zoom.

    The PQF describes the levels of educational qualifications and sets the standards for qualification outcomes. It is a quality assured national system for the development, recognition and award of qualifications based on standards of knowledge, skills and values acquired in different ways and methods by learners and workers of the country (RA 10968 – PQF Act).

    The PQF Summit is among the priority projects of PICPA under the leadership of National President Marydith C. Miguel with strong support from PICPA MM GAO chaired by Aldrin M. Cerrado, PICPA MMR chaired by Geraldine H. Apostol, PICPA WMMC led by Meynard A. Bonoen, nACPAE led by Allan Frank B. Silva, ACPACI led by Atty. Walter L. Abela Jr., GACPA led by Atty. Ma. Theresa S. Villafuerte, and ACPAPP led by Wilfredo A. Baltazar.

    With the theme “Embracing the Role of PQF in the Accountancy Profession,” the four-day summit, one day per sector, was designed to deepen the understanding and application of PQF in education, commerce and industry, government, and public practice. There were two technical sessions in the summit. The morning session focused on understanding of the PQF while the afternoon session focused on its application. At the end of the summit, attendees are expected to identify the levels, domains, and competency areas of each sector and perform self-assessment to determine their current level vis-à-vis career progression and specialization program (CPSP) for the Accountancy profession (draft resolution awaiting for approval).

Apostol delivered the welcome remarks and President Marydith C. Miguel gave a message in the morning session while Chair Aldrin M. Cerrado and Director Asser S. Tamayo gave messages in the afternoon. Mark Vincent B. Bendo delivered the closing remarks. Over 650 CPAs from all over the country attended the PQF Summit:Education Practice.

  • Annual National Convention

    The PICPA Annual National Convention is one of the most significant events for Filipino CPAs. It aims to further advance their professional development through highly relevant and timely topics that are discussed during the various plenary, break-out, and sectoral technical sessions.

    In addition, it also provides opportunities for CPAs to further expand their professional network through the chapter president’s meeting, fellowship activities, regional presentations and competitions, raffles, and donation drives.

  • Accountancy Week Celebration

    The Accountancy Week Celebration is an annual gathering of Filipino accountants organized by the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) and the Professional Regulatory Board of Accountancy (PR BoA), in cooperation with the Association of Certified Public Accountants in Public Practice (ACPAPP), Association of Certified Public Accountants in Commerce and Industry (ACPACI), Government Association of Certified Public Accountants (GACPA), and the National Association of Certified Public Accountants in Education (nACPAE).

    The event “ACCOUNTANCY WEEK CELEBRATION” aims to: celebrate the accounting profession through a series of technical sessions and exciting activities; connect thousands of Filipino accountants from all over the world; and empower them with necessary tools and relevant knowledge to remain competitive.
